Grade and GPA Calculators

Report cards, transcripts and syllabi each speak a slightly different language: letter grades, quality points, credit hours and category weights. These calculators translate between them, using the scale your school publishes, so you can see where you stand now and what the next test or term has to look like.

Which calculator do you need?

Use the weighted GPA calculator at the end of a term, when you have letter grades for each class and want your GPA on the 4.0 scale with and without honors and AP bonuses. Use the final grade calculator before an exam, when you know your current percentage in one class and want to know the score that keeps or lifts your grade. Use the college GPA calculator for credit-hour GPAs on your registrar’s scale, and the test grade calculator to turn a single quiz or test into a percentage and a letter.

Both follow published rules rather than guesses: the 4.0 conversion from College Board’s BigFuture and district grading policies for GPA, and the weighted-category method used by learning platforms such as Canvas for course grades. Every calculator lists its sources at the bottom of the page.
